The Real Facts
While the two hurricanes caused much damage to many of the surrounding islands as well as to parts of several residential, non-tourist parts of Providenciales, Grace Bay Beach was spared of incurring the brunt of these storms, thus, The Sands at Grace Bay did not suffer any structural damage.
None of the resort’s recently remodeled 114 studio- and suite-style accommodations were impacted and all are fully functional with electrical power, A/C, water, and WiFi to provide guests with plush comfort throughout their stay.
The island’s airport is open and actively receiving flights. Ships have been arriving to the island since just after Hurricane Irma to deliver all commodities needed and grocery stores are open and re-stocked. Many other area resorts and restaurants are also open or opening in the coming week to cater to the guests and to ensure the continued success of the island’s tourism sector
