Pool Renovations – Aug-Sept 2019

The sands at Grace Bay waterfall pools

Please note that starting Monday, August 19, 2019 until Sunday night, September 29, 2019 – the Small and Middle Waterfall Pools will be closed for upgrades and renovations.  The main pool will not be effected.

There will be black screening around these pool areas for privacy and protection while the renovations are taking place.  Work will commence at 10:00AM and may end at 7:00PM or at dark at the latest.  There will be jack hammering in these pools which is expected to last approximately a week and a half.  Work that involves noise will be from 10:00AM until 5:00PM.

THE SANDS RESORT ENHANCEMENTS
Guests will experience the major focus of The Sands’ refresh throughout the resort’s 114 studio and suite guest rooms. Suites in varying sizes from 1,000 – 1,600 square feet, guest accommodations feature full kitchens with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances, and private screened-in patios. Led by interior designer Rose Kelly of Inter Décor, updates as they are completed include new furnishings evoking a casual-modern style and inspired modern-abstract artwork showcasing coastal Caribbean colors. Further upgrades will feature custom-made patio furniture by Asmayda Furniture Group of Miami and a new luxury bedding collection designed by Atlantic Hospitality. These contemporary updates provide the top-rated resort with a fresh new look while maintaining the property’s sophisticated yet relaxed ambiance.

The extensive refresh enriches the resort with new patio furniture, drapes and sheers, sofa sleepers and arm chairs, bar stools, and new lighting in living room, dining room and kitchen areas of all suites and studios. Additionally, furniture hand-crafters were commissioned to update the property’s desks, tables, and dining room furnishings to complete the overall new look of the resort’s accommodations. As well, enhancements include re-paved pathways, upgraded building lighting, and new Guest Hospitality Lounge flooring.

HEMINGWAY’S RESTAURANT REFRESH
Guests can look forward to enjoying their favorite dishes at Hemingway’s and to trying out some inspired new recipes from Chef Alix that will be offered seasonally. Vast enhancements to the restaurant’s facilities and a kitchen expansion to support the ever-increasing popularity of Hemingway’s will have guests enjoying an even greater dining experience at this award-winning culinary destination.
